A SCHOOL COMPETITION The results of the (school mangold growing competition, field under the auspices of the A. anil P. Association, were announced at the meciing of the General Committee as follows:

The chairman said it had liebn a pleasure lo go round and see the interest taken by the children. It seemed to him that when the teachers were keen the children were likewise. It was a really good tiling to encourage the chit dreif in this way.

The secretary", Mr W. D. Harkness, said arrangements were, being made to show the prize winning crops in Richmond and Nelson. It was a very fine competition. Mr Hayes Crouch er moved and Mr Hagen seconded, a hearty vote of thanks to Messrs Page and Biggar, members of the Association, and Mr Bruce, Agricultural Instructor, for the valuable work they had done.
