STOCK-BREEDING IN NELSON DISTRICT
NOT ENOUGH INTEREST | Speaking at the meeting of the general committee of the A. and P. Association at Richmond on Saturday evening, Mr \V. Lairev said not enough was being done in the wav of efficient- stock breeding in the Nelson district. The only men who were spending money to improve the stock were the Jersey men. Others were at a standstill and it was necessary Micv should keep up with the times. Rater Mr Eairev said he did not wish to disparage good work done by certain very fine sliecp-bvoeders m Lhe distnct, but the trouble was they did not come forward enough.
