On Saturday last there was a v good muster of howlers on the local green, which, in spite of rain overnight* played very well. .'Jr “Haycock Monograms.”—lhe honors of this trophy suffered defeat on Saturday after a good close game throughout, tho scores# being:—lloldeis: Goodman. Bartlett. Harden, and Newport. 19. Challengers: Papps, Paterson. Stone. Wilson, 22. Richmond Ferns.—The challengers in this competition failed to take'the ferns from the holders, who after a good game won with something to spare the scores -being:—Holders: Wearing, Norris, Win, Thomas, 29. Challengers: Cross, Scott, Muntz, Loney, 16. The club competitions will be commenced this week, namely: “Field” Pairs and Single and. Junior Championships, in which all ’members take part. Dstrict Competitions.—Tire following will represent Richmond against Wakefield on Saturday, at Wakefield: Kidd, Scott. Papps, Dee (s) ; Mytten, Cross. Goodman, Maddox (s); Thomas, Win, Wearing, Norris (s).
