UNNECESSARY DELAY DENIED

Worth in glon-E vans said the uestion was one of national importance. It was imperative to evolve a workable commercial scheme. He denied that tin re had been unnecessary delays. Ihe points at issue should be settled within a month. Thereafter there would be nothing to prevent the erection of a high power station which should be operative within 12 to 18 moitlis. The Government’s object in the present negotiations over licenses was to secure private enterprise with a minimum of Government control. Ho hoped the wireless rates would always be lower than the cable rates though there would doubtless be competition.
