Sir Thomas Clement, of Glasgow, who is spending a short holiday in Nelson, psid a visit to the Cawthrcn Institute this morning.
Mr 11. Holland, M.P., Leader of the Labour Party, accompanied by the Mayor-elect (Air W. Lock), Mr H. Atmore, M.P., and Messrs Carr and \V. J. Moffalt (of the local branch of the Labour Party), visited the Cawthron Institute and the Boys' and Girls' Colleges this morning. This afternoon the party proceeded to Stoke, where an inspection was made of the orchards of Mr Monopoli and Mr A. Gilbert, . after which a visit was made to Kirkpatneh's factory, and also the Workers' Co-operative Society. _ Mr Holland leaves to-morrow morning for .Westport.
