PIG ON THE LINE
A TRAIN DERAILED"" (United Press Association). GREYMOUTH, Tin's Day. The train from Greymouth to Reefton struck a pig on the line between Hukarere and Waimunga stations last evening with the result that the engine, two waggons and one carriage were derailed. The train was unable to proceed to Reefton. The passengers, numbering 20, were conveved by motor cars'which were dispatched promptly from Reefton to the scene of the accident by the Department. A "breakdown" train was dispatched from Greymouth and the lino will be cleared to-day. Nobody was hurt, but a considerable stretch of line was torn up, and had the accident happened ten yards further along the line it would have been disastrous, as there is a deep precipice there.
