LOCAL BODIES' ELECTIONS
IN VVAIMEA COUNTY The, Wainiea County elections will be held on May 9. when in addition to voting for nine members for the County Council, elections will be held for three members to represent the county on the Nelson Hospital Board; three members to represent the county and the Tahunanni Town District on the Nelson Harbour Board ; and five members to represent the county on "the Motueka Harbour Board. Nominations close at the Waimea County office at noon on 30th insfc. 1 No nomination papers will be valid if signed by any ratepayer whose rates (including the 10 per cent, penalty) are unpaid at the dale of the closing of nominations. LOAN PROPOSAL
At the same time a poll will be taken on a proposal to borrow £3OOO for the purpose of acquiring freehold property and erecting thereon county offices.
