WOMEN CONVICTED AT GLASGOW (By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Australian & N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, Nov. 15. An unusual proportion of copper conns in the collection boxes on Hospital Day at Glasgow prompted the police to systematically watch collectors on Armistice Day in connection with a collection in aid of the fund for disabled ex-servicemen. Fifteen women and girls were arrested. Three were sentenced to a month and eight were fined £lO, Marked coins were abstracted from the boxes.
