BRITAIN'S INTEREST TO UNITED
STATES

WASHINGTON, Nov. 13.
It is announced Unit Britain will pay the second fifty million dollars interest on the Avar debt to the United States on November 15th. This is calculated at the rate of five per cent., therefore an adjustment is expected since the American Debt Commission was authorised by Congress to refund Allied debts at the rate of four and a-quarter per rent.
Mr Mellon conferred with the Roumanian Debt Commission, which declared that Roumania was unable to pay a forty-one million dollar debt to the United States for four or five years, but every effort will he made to give I lie United Stul cs debt preference.
