CHARGE AGAINST MINERS

NEW YORK, Nov. 15. At Marion, Illinois, [ three meja have now been passed tentatively to sit' on the jury to try the miners ' charged in connection with the Herrin massacre. The prosecution lias been endeavouring to restrict the jury to miners, which apparently is impossible. It is already indicated that the prosecution will not demand the death penalty.
