SALVATION ARMY'S EFFORTS £45,524103 RAISED The S«lf-Denial appeal by the Salvation Army has this year resulted in a return of £45,524 10s. Nelson has dorio particularly well, exceeding last year's figures by £2, when most places show a big decrease- owing to tho hard times through which the country is passing. The Wellington divisioii raised £5812. The Nelson corps forms part of this division. The figures for tho various corps are: —
The Auckland division raised £11,356; Central Northern (PaJmerston North), £7224; Christehurch £7560; Dunedin £8460; Taranaki, including Wanganui, £5113; Wellington £5812.
