PNEUMONIC INFLUENZA
A NOTIFIABLE' DISEASE (United Presa Association.) WELLINGTON; Oct, 12. The Minister of Health stated to day that pneumonic influenza is v. notifiable disease. At the present time the position was rather better than normal ; indeed the figures made it clear that the present year compared more than favourably with preceding years. The Department has no information of any re candescence of the epidemic in Australia, but he was asking for the latest official information from Australia. Mo far as New Zealand is concerned (he eases are spread pretty evenly, the Wellington district having rather more cases than the Auckland district, while Canterbury has about half the eases of the Welling!o' district.
