ERIi'AY WiiJi lia' object ni interesting Iho generai public hi llie Larnival which is to lake' place in Nelson at the end o*' .January next, the Garntval Committen is inaugurating aperies ot popnlar entertainments, the first ol which is In take place in the Theatre Royal on Friday evening next. A capital programme is being arranged, and loading amateurs have kindly consented to conttibule. The entertainment will take the form of a concert, witli a ono-act dramatic sketch to follow, lliose taking part- iii the concert portion of the programme will be Miss Dorothy Horne, Meg Gimino, little Ella Robertson, Mr and Mrs Holmes, -Messrs E. 11. Short, .Moody, and Weymss. The one act sketch, w.licit nil! hy Mrs E. A. Allan, is entitled ‘AVas site to Blame.” and will he interpreted hy -Mrs Allan, Miss Sybil Sowman, Messrs M. Bush and E. VA Huggins. Miss Fairhall has consented to act as accoiupaniste. At the popular prices of 2/am! 1 there should bo a crowded audience. Further particulars will he announced to -m orrow.
