NELSON VOLUNTEER FIRE BRIGADE
APPRECIATION OF SERVICES EFFICIENT COPING WITH FIRES The secretary of the Permanent Building Society (Mr G. M. Rout) has forwarded the following letter to Captain A. E. Dee, of the Nelson Fire Brigade:—“At a mooting of ray directors, held last evening, I was instructed to write you lb expressi their regret at your illness, and to state that they sincerely hoped you would have a speedy recovery. I was further instructed to inform you that my directors very much appreciate the efforts of your brigade in coping with fires, and to congratulate you and your Brigade on the effiiceut way in which you have copod with these fires recently, thereby saving those interested considerable sums of. money.”
