The v committee of the Provincial Apple Show will meet at the* Fruitgrowers’ .Council’s room, Hardy street, at 7.30 to-night, to further arrangements for the annual show to be held at. the end of this month.
At Auckland a largely attended public meeting was addressed- by- Major General Russell, and formed an Auckland branch of the National Defence League.—Press: Association. ■
