After lito expulsion of Mr Catts the meeting of members of the Labour Party, resenting tho autocratic rule of the party executive, adopted a basis for the reorganisation of the party, and formed a- now organisation known as the Majority Labour Party as the present party had been misrepresented by 7 the minority section, which had improperly obtained control ot the machine, House and headquarters. Tho Governor informally called on Mr Dooley at tho hospital. No arrangements has been made for tho resignation of the Government. MR DOOLEY TO RESIGN SYDNEY, Tills Day. Mr Dooley announced that lie will resign on Wednesday. MELBOURNE, This Day. Unless the executive of the Labour Party takes counter action Air Catts will sit in.the House ot Representatives as an Independent, thus strengthening the stability of the Government. Federal Labour members arc alarmed at the expulsion in view of tho approaching Federal elections, realising that the policy of wild, men who dominate Labour from within must destroy tho original basis of the party.
