WANGANUI HARBOUR

(United Press Association.) WANGANUI, April 7. At the animal meeting of the Harbour Board to-night, the chairman (Mr A. G. Bignell), dealing with operations of the board for the Last year, announced that the profit for the year just closed was £32134, and tho accumulated credit balance carried forward was £23,856. For many years past there has been a surplus of revenue, and since tho inception of the board it has not been found necessary to strike a rate. The increase in the number of ships trading to the port for the year was 56, representing 19,1)65 tons, and it is confidently anticipated that in the near future Home liners will be berthed in Wanganui harbous.
