WELLINGTON, Dec 13. The Prime Minister .stated definite y to-dav that it would be impossible» to finish the business of the session be.oio Christmas, and that t would be necesBirv to sit for about a fortnight fterwards. He made his statement in reply to Mr Witty (Riccarton), .who nested that to meet tho CMivemenco of some of the members he. House ■whould adjourn on December 22nd, instead of December 23rd. '*[ am confident it is impossible to finish before Christmas and wo may as welt understand that," said the Prime Minister. "I am making n langement accordingly." . He was holding over some very ■impoHant business which would have to be dca t with after Christinas.
