Merchants have received confirmation of the report from London that. Germany bought 100,000 tons of wheat, March shipment, at 7s 7<l per bushel, free on hoard, and that Germany has been granted six months' credit fcr the sale . MELBOURNE, This Day.
Senator Russell, chairman of the Australian Wheat Board, is not inclined to discuss the sale to Germany. It is stated the-Board could not a Mow the wheat to rot. and had to dispose of it on the best "possible terms, and it was doing thai.
