MEETING OF EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE A meeting of the executive committee of the Nelson R.S.A. was held last evening. There were present: Messrs W. C. Tlarloy (president) in the chair, Witty, Jamieson, Kidson, Spear, _ Dr Johnston, and the. secretary (Air N. A. Vercoe). , , , In connection with the proposal to have a postal ballot for officers, the secretary stated that it would bo inipossible to arrange for this in time for the annual meeting. Two transfers in ami throe out were approved. The secretary was commended tor his action in making arrangements for the burial of a deceased soldier. if was resolved, in accordance .with the powers given to the pxecutive, that no iiiilin.'iitcial member'bo allowed _ tospeak or vote at any general mooting of the association. , 7 ■ It was reported that the annual general conference of the R.S.A. would he hold in Dunedin on Julie Bth, and it was resolved to forward the' name of the chairman as one of tiic district representatives. It was decided to hold a special general meeting to frame remits for the conference. . In connection with the coming visit of his Excellency the Governor, it was decided to endeavour to arrange for his Excellency to visit the club, and to invito members to he present. Several other matters were dealt With and the meeting adjourned.
