To Clean Leather-covered Chairs. — Rub with a piece of flannel dipped in paraffin, then with a clean linen rag. Kerosene stains can ho removed with Fullers’ Earth. Cover the stain with a. thick layer of Fullers’ earth and let it remain for 24 hours, it may he necessary to repeat the process. Hiccough can generally ho stopped at once by eating a knob of sugar soaked in vinegar. Milk and ink make a cheap polish for glace shoos. Rub over with _ a soft "rag, and when nearly dry polish with an ordinary brush. This does not injure the kid. The Pen Will Not Open.—When a Sylograph pen sticks and refuses to uncap, hold it over a lighted match for a moment and it will loosen. Soak a toothbrush for ten minutes in cold water, and allow it to thoroughly dry again before using, and the hairs will not annoy yon by coming out. Mud stains may he removed from tan boots and shoes bv rubbing them with slices of raw potato.. When dry polish ns usual.
