There are three hostile groups of opinion regarding Spiritualism—namely—a religious camp, maintaining that the alleged spiritual manifestations are the work of devils; exponents of Spiritualism, claiming that they are able to prove that they can demonstrate that occult phenomena is a reality, and that communication between the departed and the living is an accomplished reality, and is not Satanic; a third group maintains that Spiritualism is born in fraud, eiadleo in fraud, nurtured in fraud, and based to-day to an alraming extern, all over the world oh fraudulent performances. Now exponents of divergent views on Spiritualism are active in Nelson at the present time, and as oimwith an open mind on the question, I. consider that for the benefit of the public m general, a triangular debate be arranged, so that the public can draw i s own conclusions, and settle tins q ttPS " tion which is puzzling the minds ol many.
