KING ALEXANDER’S MORGAN ATIO MARRIAGE (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Australian & N.Z. Cable Association) LONDON, June 11. The Daily Express Paris correspondent says that King Alexander of Greece announces his willingness to sacrifice the throne unless allowed to take his morganatic wife back to Athens. M. Yenizelos is coming to Paris to discuss the possibility of establishing a republic in Greece. It seems impossible for Alexander to take his wife, back to Athens, as a secret conclave of army officers threatened most, energetic steps unless she left the palace. This was the cause of her coming to Paris with her sister. There are many pro-Constantine demonstrations in Greece, which is the real cause of M. Yenizelos recently proclaiming martial law, In view of Alexander’s announcement, a republic seems the only -alternative. PARRS, June 12. M. Yenizelos has arrived. It is understood he is asking Alexander’s consent to a republic. Alexander is unlikely to have any personal objection. He prefers the life of a private citizen with his beautiful girl wife to the care of the Crown. Alexander's holiday is due to end on Sunday. He is expected to give a decision before then.
