j At) the monthly meeting of the Plunket Society Mrs Buchanan presided over a. good attendance of members, j Ktir.sc Thompson reported: —New cases for the month, 5; cases under treatment, 190; visits to homos, 90: , visits of mothers to rooms, 40. j The sanction of the .school authorities having boon obtained 1 , it was arranged to begin classes of instruction for girls at the Girls’ Central School on the 17th inst. Miss Hurst, Matron of the Public Hospital, taking the class for the first month. I It was resolved to suspend the usual i rnceing of the Society held on fourth Mondays, and to hold an extra- meeting .each month when necessary._ ) For the Executive Committee the following members were elected: President, Mrs Buchanan: Secretary, Miss t. E. Ledger : Treasurer, Mrs Pogson: with Mcsdarnes Rogers, Graham. McKillop, Phatazyn, and Miss Hurst. ( 1 Accounts were passed for paymentamounting to £l4 IBs 9d. Credit balance iu bank, £76 7s 9d. | The estimates for the coming year were discussed, and it was resolved to have subscription .sheets printed, with I the estimated expenditure attached.
