The last sitting ol the Chamber before Signor Nitti resigned ended in a free fight between the Right Deputies and the Socialists. \ A GENERAL STRIKE (By Electric Telegraph —Copyright) (United Service.) (Rec. June 11, 1.25 p.m.)* ROME, June 10. Signor Nitti’s resignation evoked a general strike at Apulia'followed by clashes between the crowd and the troops. The latter fired a volley wounding fifty. Public services are paralysed and . troops are patrolling the streets with machine guns. The strike extended over the whole province. Agricultural strikers *at Treviso held up trains and forced the landowners to sign a contract.
