With reference to a cable alleging, that the Australian cricket bodies would only consider the claims of men who ■ fought in the war; the Secretary of the Hoard of Control declared, . ‘‘The war is over,'we want to.forget it, and expect Maryiebone to send out the best team available. We in turn will endeavour to send a team to England that will do credit to Australia.”
