LATE COUNCILLOR HAMPSON

TRIBUTE EROM CITY : COUNCIL . At the meeting of the City Council last evening reference was made to the death of Cr. W. S. Hampson. The Deputy-Mayor (Cr. Pettit) said that since the. last meeting of the Council ope __ of their number had been carried from their midst —Cr. Hampson, He had sat with Cr. Hampson for a considerable time and had found him a vej*y useful councillor, one who devoted much tiine and. municipal matters, especially finance. Cr. Hampson t had served as a councillor for 13 years without a break. Hp, would move that the Council express sympathy with the relatives of the late Cr.
