(United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Feb. 19. The Government wishes it made as widely known as possible that local authorities and public organisations which tiesire to present addresses of welcome to the Prince of Wales during bis visit to Now .Zealand should have such addresses drafted immediately. Copies ol drafts should be sent without delay to the private secretary of the Hon. Sir Francis Bell. Parliamentary Buildings, Wellington, in order that His Royal Highness may bo enabled to prepare replies. CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 19. Some time ago the Canterbury Jockey Club approached the Government for the purpose of obtaining a permit to bold a special race meeting at Riccart.cm in honour of the visit of the Prince of Wales. This morning advice was reeoivedj from the Minister of Internal Affairs that the necessary permit. would be available, and a meeting will he held on May 7th or Bth. The programme committee will meet in a few days, and arrange all details. It is understood that Auckland. Christchurch, and 1 , Wellington trotting authorities all made applications for permits to hold special meetings. So far as Christchurch clubs arc concerned no reply has been received.
