It is understood that legislation will be introduced in the coming session of Parliament tot grant semi-diplomatie powers to a Canadian mission to Washington in order to do away with the necessity of sending correspondence between Canada and the United States via the Colonial Office in London. It is believed that matters pertaining to Imperial interests, however, will be dealt with by a Canadian' representative in co-operation with the British Ambassador.
