WHEAT SHORTAGE (Bv Electric Telegraph-Copy rig hi) (Published in The Times) VIENNA, Feb. 17. Only one month’s supply of wheat remains to feed over six million Austrians, It is stated that repeated requests have failed to secure Allied help. Apparently the Supreme Council’s machinery has broken down. It is impossible to expect anything to eat from Germany. INFLUENZA RAGING (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Australian ft N.Z. Cable Association) (Rec. Feb. 20,. 8.45 a.m.) VIENNA, Feb. 18, There are forty thousand cases of influenza and the number is increasing. The hospitals arc choked. It is believed the lack of coal encouraged the spread of infection. An all-night service of electric ears has been inaugurated. Tramcars are specially fitted to carry thirty-two coffins.
