•Australian & N.Z. Cable Association.)
(Delayed.) (Rec. May 26, 9.10 a.m.) LONDON, May 15
Renner, chief of the Austrian delegation, in, an interview at Basle, eu route to Pans, said he would' advance a programme embracing the union of Austria and Germany. Tlie Treaty demands that Germany recognise Austrian independence until the League sanctions a change, which cannot be made unless the Council of the League is unanimous, and it is inconceivable that Italy should consent.
