A painful accident, occurred near Waitangimi, about 25. miles' from Te Kniti, , this morning,. a boy named Thomas O’Halloten. about 12 years of age, halving his hand almost severed at the wrist owing to a,shotgun explod-; ing. , .. ” ■ It appeal’s that he was standing with■ a loaded shotgun ml hfe hand at the back door. Of- his home, with his father, mother/, and a young friend, who had just given an - illustration as to how easily .fch-accident could occur.
