The authorities think that there is fevery indication that the near future will.jsee a recrudescence here of the influneza epidemic. During the past two dtfys there have been 23 notifications ir. th® Canterbury-Westland health district. Of these five are cases of influenzal pneumonia, two of them, being severe. In/South Canterbury during the same period there were eight notifications, two of Nlrhich are pneumonic. v n>r Fox, superinendent of the Christchurch Hospital, stated: to-day that .there had been of late a number of 4»jM>A* rof influenzal pneumonia in the Hospital, and one death.
