CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. A dispute between the Canterbury Motor-Car and Horae Drivers* and Livery Stable Employees’ Union and fifteen local bodies in Canterbury wgs settled £o-day by the Conciliation Courti ! cil. The hours were fixed at 48 for the week and wages .for all drivers at £3 10a. No distinction is made between one and two-horse drivers. Sanitary employees’ wages were fixed at ,£3 16s and overtime was fixed at 2s an hour. Stable attendant? will receive the name wages as drivers. The award applies Jo the whole d! the Canterbury industrial district, and will come into force on 12th May and expire on 28th February, 1921.
