INFERNAL MACHINES BY POST

Infernal machines were found in mails addressed to prominent people throughout the United States, chiefly opponents of the I.W.W. propaganda. A negro maid in ex-Senator Hardwick’s household had Her hand blown off while opening a parcel containing bombs received through the post. Mr Hardwick was formerly prosecuting attorney : for ' Washington County, Georgia. Seveal parcels of bombs were addressed to the Californian District Attorney.
