STo save the shame and humiliation to the families of those convicted. 6To save the incalculable loss to- the country caused by the “Trade” in crime, poverty, lunacy, sickness, and general moral degradation. . 7—To save thousands of children of whom the “Trade” will make its finished products—drunkards. QUESTION.—What does £4,500,000 mean? ANSWER. —One penny per week per head of our population will provide a sum sufficient to pay interest and establish a sinking fund to pay off the principal. QUESTION. —Would any voter grudge one penny per week to obtain for our country the least of the above savings? ANSWER.—Let each voter’s conscience dictate the reply.
