The lTe.%, Bureau slates Unit the Pensions Ministry announce that the Government have now recognised the obligation to assist front -State funds demobilised and discharged officers and men who joined the forces after the outbreak of war in order that they may be enabled to re-star:' business. The assistance will be either given in. periodical payments to meet current obligations like rent, insurance premiums. school fees, and mortgage obligations, or in a lump sum for the purchase of stock in trade, shop fittings, etc. ■ Officers and men of iHn ish nationality ordinarily domiciled overseas serving in t'h e United Kingdom , forces are eligible lor the Home Government’s (acuities for higher education at 'he universities or in agriculture: A _ limited number ordinarily domiciled in. the United Kingdom will be assis to take courses ni Dominions oversea. .The Board of Education’s portion of the scheme enables 'qualified oversea exservice officers and men to pursue a course at a university in 'he "United Kingdom, while others ordinarily dom'ciled in the United Kingdom will be assisted in studie* in oversea universities.
