DUNEDIN, April 4. It is understood that telegrams have beffn received in, Dunedin and Invercargill , from the general secretary of the Locomotive Drivers, Firemen,. and Gleaners’ Association, stating that the proposals by the .Mi, Tester were* unsatisfactory, ,/tuid- that baliot-pn/pei'S were being forwarded, presumably to enable members to take a vote on the question of a strike.
