CAUSE FOR ANXIETY

LONDON, April 3. ( The Australian Association learns that the situation on the 'Mur- ; man and Archangel fronts is causing [ anxiety. American .re m lore emeu's gone. A British force i s being prepared which it i« hoped will reach the fronts by the end of May. The Allies have been constantly weakening, and the Bolshevists are certain to make efforts to push the British at Archangel into the sea during the next two months, when the Bolshevists will be assisted by thawing rivers. The British Division. is thus likely to have a very bad time, and should be reinforced or relieved at the ealTiest possible moment. A great asset of the expedition Ts General Ironside, the famous traveller, ,who, disguised as a naTve, drove an ox waggon during the Herrero campaign in German South-West Africa. Be is a man of wonderful spirit, and has been spending the whole of his time visiting posts on the long front, encouraging the men. It is considered that it will be deplorable if Archangel suffers a disaster similar to that at Eut, and tha; it would have the worst possible effect on British prestige throughout the world, as well as encouraging German resistance.
