FEDERAL CLUB

A preliminary meeting of the Federal Hockey Club was held lasi- night at Dpie'g rooms. There was a fair attendance of intending players. The [unanimous opinion was that a strong effort should now be made to revive all I kinds of sport, it was therefore decided that the annual meeting be called lor Tuesday, • April bth, and that in the mean ime a committee consisting of J Messrs Beattie, Hockey, Webley, and Harris would endeavour t oculist suffi- | merit to put both a senior and a | junior team m :h e field. The committee is to report progress to the annual meeting. There are still a number ot players on active service who should be home m time for the season's play. ■ Guv of 'the total strength of the Club in the 11914 season, only three members ( ; wo I class B and one not passed) failed to i reach the front. Of those serving four made the great sacrifice—Messrs Mullany, Hollyman, White, and Ingram.
