It is the roasting of coffee-berries the exquisite, flavour so much appreciated by coffee-drinkers. That is well known. But it is not so well known that our N.Z. -grown tobaccos, Gold Pouch and Three Diamonds, are now subjected to the oame roasting or toasting proccss -and with the saipe^result as ih the case of the coffee,, The flavour is brought fully 'out, while, at the same time the deleterious properties of the tobacco ’ ’ V-ho destroyed. ■Smokers are unanimously in favour of the new departure, and proclaim toasted tobacco superior tp any other. But it is a healthier smoke, too, with no moisture added,,or sauce, or other adulterations, which, figure largely in the composition of foreign ‘brands, full ounces a shilling.* ' *•’.
