A POSTAL MESSENGER’S DEATH.
VERDICT AND RIDER,

HAMILTON, This Day
At the inquest on Charles Janies Reed, postal messenger at Frankton Junction, a verdict was returned that deceased met his death through being accidentally run over by a locomotive engine in the railway yard, while in the execution of his duty. A rider was added ' that the jury recommends that postal baskets be deposited in a place where it would be safe for postal employees to collect, instead* of being uindled out anywhere in the station yard as at present.
