A FATHER CHARGED WITH MURDER.
A BABY’S DEATH.

AUCKLAND, Jan. 21. At the Police Court to-day, Albert Victor Morine, of N'aike, near Ngaruawahia, was committed) for trial on a charge of murdering his baby girl, Joan Morine. The baby’s eyes were both gouged out on October 25rd last, and medical evidence showed death to be due to shock. The accused, who behaved in a peculiar manner in Court, has recently been detained in a mental hospital.
