Two Mttle arms,' o"f : -milky white, They clung to me, in', pure delight.. Big baby eyes, mirthful and gay, Beautiful deep, dark'pools of grey. ■Clusters of. curls on the golden head, : Innocent baby lips of red. kittle pink fingers and clean. That was our dear-littl'e baby Eileeni When I stood by her little white bed — Big baby eyes and lips of;red — Were up-turned to me for a good-night , ... kiss, ... •Andthen came, .slumber, happy and bliss! (But .that night death came through the '■ open door ; And closed baby lips for evermore—- , Death so silent, grim and cold, Carried away our treasure of gold.
