APPEAL FOR A TEACHER.
SCHOOL COMMITTEE AND EDU-
CATION. BOARD. 1 (United Press Association.) CHRIST'CHURCH, July 16. Before the.Military Service Board today the Riccarton School' Committee appealed for <R. H. North, only male assistant at the school. Counsel pointed out that the Board of Education declined to appeal, and the committee was forced to ask for an extension of time till the end of the year. The Chairman fMr H. W. Bishop) said counsel asked them to approve the principle of the committee going over the head of the Education Board, which was constituted to authorise these matters, and whose representations were bound to have weight. Counsel held that a competent Military Service Board could find that •he Board of Education had not prope- -
ly considered the matter. Eventually an extension till October was allowed.
