. ♦ —■ WAIMEA WEST. ROAD BOARD. MONTHLY MEETING. At the last meeting of the Waimea West Road Board the following .niMibers were .present: Messrs YV. L. Palmer (Chairman), Hunter, Challies and The Oveasee,. reported thai, the sides of one of the bridges iul Eve's Valley had given wa-v and temporary were effected f also that the residents' in Redwood's Valley were not using the new road proper, which had been, recently formed and gravelled, and the „ orso \va« encroaching to the middle of the road. . t It was decided to put m concrete sides in bridge in Eve's Valley and the secretary was instructed to notify owners in 'Redwood's Valley to clear any obstructions on the roads, and in the event of the new road not being properly used, the Board was determined to take steps as would ensure the crown of the road being used for all trafhp. The members were astonished that alter the road being formed and gravelled that residents should a.low the crown of the road to get overgrown with gor.se, etc. . , It was decided to put in 18-incli pipes in culvert at Appleby, the secretary to order the required nlumber.
