LOYAL HOWARD 1 LODGE. The half-yearly financfal ?umnr>r>~;! 'meeting of the above Hodge was held at the lodge room,. Wai'mea-streeti, on Wednesday evening, 3rd July, when there was a fair number of members present. The balance-sheet and statement and auditors' report thereon was laid before the meeting. The sick and funeral fund! has a credit balance of £7736 2s 2d. The
sum. of £32 'l3s 3d was paid oyer to the District Widow and Orphans/ Fund. The lodge surplus fund, after payment of £l6l 1313 6d claims)' on deaths of members, has a credit of £3878 19s Ad. The management fundi has. a credit bailanco of £95 6s 7d. The total, capital of tho lodge amouaits: to £12,436 ss, fully invested' and interest bearing. The P.G.M., Bro. A. Cross, Deputy P.G.M., Bro. A. G. Stewart, and the C/&, Bro. A. G. Shrimpton. paid am official visit to the lod,ge, the IP.G.M., at the. request of the lodge, taking the Grand Master's chair for the evening. The Hall Committee produced the annual statement of accounts. and a. hearty vote of thanks was pa?.sed, especially mentioning Bro. "VV. Thompson, for their services. The following were appointed as a Hall Committee for the coining year: Bi-os. A. 0. Shrimpton, W. Liddle, and "W. McConchie, P.G. Bro. F. H. Giblin, who has left the district, tendered his resignation as trustee, and P.G. Bro. "VV. M.cConchie was appointed l to fill the vacancy. The following were installed by tho Grand Master :„ .N.G., Bro. K. N. * Liviok; V.G., Bro. L. "VV. Lockyer ; and ELS..'Bro. F. R. Fairey. The surgeon, Dr F. A. Bett, and secretary, Bro. A. N. Babchelor, and the treasurer, Bro. W. Moyes; still retain their positions.
