The annual meeting of the Nelteon and Marlborough Bowling Clubs rooms on -Saturday afternoon, when the toilowing delegates were present:—Mr W. Lane (vice-president)', m the chair; Nelson dub, Messrs R. Catley, A. C. Moore, and R. W. Stiles.-; Blenheim, Mr A. D. Burns; Maitai, Messrs J. E. Allen and S. F. Sherwood; Picton, Mr C. M. Whelan; Takaka, Mr 1Haldane; Riversdale, IMr A. D-ee; Motueka, Messrs W. Dane and E. b. "Cresswell; Wakefield, Mr A- Wilkmson. Mr T Bush, of the Dominion Loun. ci'l, and Mr J. J- secretary ol the Wellington Bowling Centre, were also present. _ , The report for 1917-18 submitted by the secretary (Mr R. W. (Stifles) stated : •Centre *" Tournament.—The fourth Centre tournament was held at Nelson on January Ist and 2nd, 1918, the Riversdale Glub being the only one not represented. The result of» the tourna ment was as follows :—■ Full rinks: W. Milner, A. W. St<t lard, W. Thoin, E. Richards (s), Maitai Chib. Rjunners-up: G-. Logan, "W. J. G. Hartill, W. Simpson, w. Hock. v. (», Maitai dub. . Pains: T. Dee and G. Dee (s), Maitai Chib. - • ißunners-up: G. J. Riddell and G. A. Smith (s), Picton "'dub. Sub-district Competi'tion».—On the Nelson, side of the district a K'lub competition was inaugurated, in' which NelBon', Maitai. Motueka, and Wakefield Oiubs participated in home and ho-rne 1 matches, meeting each other twice. Th»* games were a source of much pleasure, and will no doubt be contintued. The Nleson Club was the winner, with Maitai runner-up. Inter-club competitions on- the Blenheim side were conti"liued as in previous seasons. Patriotic Fundfe. —'Clubs have continiued to interest themselves in _ the various ■ patriotic funds. The Dominion Association eerretary writesl shall be glad to have' for insertion in the annual rerport particulars of any amounts raised for patriotic purposes by centres during the past season, and' how the amounts were divided." Clubs of "the Centre are requested to forward this information to the Centre secretary at once.

Cejritre Membership.—The aggregate membership of the Centre last year was 397. as against 413 the previous year. Quite a large number are on si.ct.~-e .'service.
