CANADIAN RAID SUCCEEDS. LOiN-POCS", June 25. - Router's correspondent at JSritsh headquarters telegraphed to-day : The Canadians carried out a raid lii«i> night with the completeness which distinguishes them in such affairs. They captured about 10 machine guns and a trench mortar south of the 'Scarpe audi took" six prisoners. Our success in thus obtaining information from raids contrasts with two complete failures of the enemy tS capture one of our posts northwest of Merris. •- We learned from despatches ; most, cleverly acquired that the enemy_ hus been made uneasy by the lack of information from our Flanders front, and has" laid great stress on the capture of at • least one prisoner from whom information might be obtained. The result m this particular instance was the capture, not by, but of, the officer to whom the mission was entrusted. _ Sir Douglas .Haig, in. an official message to-day, says that the Canadians in the raid on the night of.
