Sir,—Under the above heading, 'Mr Carlisles fires a few strictures at Mt L,ock in refererf-e to his attdtude at a recent meeting, when -the subject of supplying liquor to soldiers was discussed. May I aisk Mr Carlisle to give the orthodox definition of (the term, "Temperance"?—l am, etc., A. OORKiSCREW.
